What Kodye (and I, for that matter) thought was just a normal photoshoot for her boutique, Wandering Maverick, turned out to be one of the best days that she (and I) will remember forever!
Now, let’s back it up to the beginning of the photoshoot…Our plans were to shoot new, blank tees and crewnecks for WMB, along with doing a few headshots and photos of Chris and Kodye for their WMB socials! Not until Kodye stepped out of the room to check her hair, that Chris pulled me aside and motioned the sign for “Shhh” and showed me a little box filled with a stunning diamond ring!!! I am pretty sure 10,000 thoughts went through my mind! But, ultimately, I could not believe this was about to happen and I was just SO excited for her!
Now to the proposal, mind you, I had no idea this was happening until that very second. I didn’t have days to talk with Chris and carve out the perfect plan and let him know how I see it happening or how he sees it happening, it was just…go time! We did a few basic shots, then went into some solo headshots and that’s when our minds synced, I posed her with her back to him and he got down on one knee!! And the rest was history! I am so, so glad that Chris chose to do this while I was there and I wouldn’t want it any other way! We may have been shocked, it may have been a random weekday, and we may have had to continue with an entire WMB photoshoot afterward, but it couldn’t have been more perfect and I am so happy to witness these two get married in a few short days!!
